The Stevia Story

"The Stevia Story: a Tale of Incredible Sweetness and Intrigue" details the FDA's attempt to suppress a naturally sweet, noncaloric herb with a long-standing safety record that is already used in many countries as a healthy alternative to both sugar and artificial sweeteners.

Linda and Bill Bonvie co-authored the Stevia Story with Donna Gates, a nutritional consultant and expert on candidiasis based in Atlanta. Linda and Bill originally chronicled the stevia saga in the Jan/Feb '96 issue of New Age Journal magazine.
