Kefir Benefits

The benefits of consuming kefir regularly in the diet

Easily digested, it cleanses the intestines, provides beneficial bacteria and yeast, vitamins and minerals, and complete proteins. Because kefir is such a balanced and nourishing food, it contributes to a healthy immune system and has been used to help patients suffering from AIDS, chronic fatigue syndrome, herpes, and cancer. Its tranquilizing effect on the nervous system has benefited many who suffer from sleep disorders, depression, and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).

The regular use of kefir can help relieve all intestinal disorders, promote bowel movement, reduce flatulence and create a healthier digestive system. In addition, its cleansing effect on the whole body helps to establish a balanced inner ecosystem for optimum health and longevity.

Kefir can also help eliminate unhealthy food cravings by making the body more nourished and balanced. Its excellent nutritional content offers healing and health-maintenance benefits to people in every type of condition.

Hello everyone, I am new to Kefir, have purchased some but haven’t started it yet. Please can anyone give me some tips

  • During the beginnings of the ebola epidemic crisis, a friend brought kefir
milk and water to my attention. What a blessing. At age 78 and not
on any meds or having what is considered to be ailments of the aging,
kefir water (KW) has made a major impact on eliminating excessive
body fat in all areas of my body. When I first retired to the
Philippines I weighed 165 lbs. Without intentional dieting my weight
went down to 150/155 lbs. Since doing the KW, I am now 125 lbs. and
have all the energy I’ve ever had before. At age 18 I weighed 99
lbs. entering into the US Army. Came out weighing 145 lbs., no
surprises here. I’m 5’ 6” so 125 lbs. is getting close to my
teen weight which is not a goal. If that happens so be it. I share
this not to encourage one to use kefir for weight loss, but to see
what it will do for them. If you have a large amount of fat to lose,
be prepared to see sagging flesh for a season until your body
readjust to your changing form. Besides, when dressed no one sees
the obvious weight loss I’ve gained in a pursuit to a more healthy
ageing. Hope this helps someone make the decision to kefir water or
milk. Do the research. Ask the questions. And use live kefir
grains from a source that will ship them overnight to your locale.

Hi, will kefir help with eczema problem?

  • xenyen

I love kefir. I started using it a while back; I was so exhausted I had to drag myself up the stairs. Gave up jogging as my knees couldn’t take it. Tremendous brain fog, focus was difficult. All of this is the distant past, thanks to milk kefir! For me natural probiotics worked wonders. I also use kombucha, sauerkraut and sourdough bread.

To share the benefits and spread the love, I’ve set up a website to distribute my excess grains; these are available to anyone (subject to shipping costs); we are based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

I pray for good health for everyone.

Where can I buy the kefir culture in richards bay, south africa

  • I live in the Central Visayas Region VII, Cebu Province. In responding
to the Ebola crisis I stumbled upon kefir water and milk astounding
attributes, especially in killing viruses. For now I am doing kefir water, using bottle filtered
water, it being the most accessible option in this start up phase. I
plan to switch to coconut milk in the near future. My pursuit now is
to learn all the benefits of kefir water. I am hoping this will help
to spread the use in the Cebu regions and will be glad to be a
    resource person.

what happened to my post?? it disappeared!! why not just eat the kefir grains directly and have it over with!! it seems like it would work to me! some of the material must stay inside of you! any ideas or comments??

  • TODD FISCHER

I haven’t made any Kefir yet, but the grains multiply very easily by putting them in a small jar with some milk and lots of sugar. put the jar in the dark, and in a week or so, the jar will full of grains. im putting some in my yogurt maker to see if the heat, around 110F degrees will make them grow any faster, time will tell. if u make greek yogurt, try adding some powered milk to the regular milk, the yogurt will come out very thick and rich, it works well for ice cream too!! UmmMe!!
